Bobby Coleman
iOS Developer
I am an iOS app developer making a positive life change. I’ve spent the last 10 years of my career as an operations planner, strategist, and project manager in the military and the distribution industry. I’m looking to gain valuable experience in the iOS app development industry, increase my knowledge as an app developer and make valuable and meaningful contributions to the community.
About Me
I am an iOS developer currently living in southern New Hampshire and moving to central Texas in July. I started my career in the US Army as an Air Defense Artillery officer, and transitioned as a civilian to continue my career in operations and project management. I have excelled as a leader, planner, and strategist, but am ready to continue on with the next part of my career in iOS development.
My Dev Journey
While I have always had an interest in programming, self-learning languages like HTML, CSS, Python, Java, and Swift, I started developing apps for iOS as a hobby in early 2022. I quickly realized that I loved to develop apps for iOS, so I decided to make a change and pursue iOS development full-time. Since then, I have worked tirelessly improving my skills in Swift, SwiftUI, and other supporting languages like JavaScript, React, and React Native. I set myself to a strict, self-paced learning programming and completed the iOS Developer Professional Certification created by Meta and learned from the iOS Dev community.

Skills in iOS development, project management, and design help me strive to create high quality apps.
Deep understanding of Swift and SwiftUI with some UIKit integration.
Experience working with Core Data and CloudKit.
Thorough understanding of UI/UX design.
Experience with Sketch and Figma to create useful wireframes and beautiful mockups.
Use of Git and GitHub for version control and to share my open source code.

Lego has always been a favorite past time of mine and I try to get a new set (typically Star Wars) when I can and spend hours building, just to enjoy looking at and displaying the final piece
Model and Replica Building is one of my favorite hobbies. I love the feeling of creating something from scratch that resembles and/or works like a replica from a favorite movie, like a lightsaber or my 1:8 scale model of the BTTF DeLorean Time Machine.
Creating can be used as a blanket term for my other hobbies, like creating art traditionally or digitally, DIY projects (landscaping, woodworking, etc), or even circuitry, PC building, or writing.

I have a quite a few interests that shape me as a person and make me who I am today.
Research and knowledge building is the cornerstone for my personal growth and development. I always strive to learn more.
Creativity is what fuels my hobbies the most. I find significant pleasure in visualizing and creating beautiful, functional things.
Technology and its continuous improvement has always been fascinating to me, and I find any way I can to utilize it.

Snowball: Debt Management
My current ongoing project is my first MVP that I fully plan to submit to the Apple AppStore. I wanted to create an app in SwiftUI that encompasses the primary fundamentals of Swift, complex logic and mathematics, cloud functionality with storage and privacy, but most of all, an app that people can use to help them gain control of their debt.
